Region VI Working Group • Formed at the last “Getting Real” Conference in 2011 • Focused on goals set as a group at the conference • Biweekly phone conferences include disability organizations and emergency management organizations • Discussions include sharing disaster and disability-related resources and information
On today's call, the tips for first responders came up. There is interest in using these in the field. I would like to talk with you about how we might get them updated and seeing where more of these can be obtained. I had one other idea--- can we turn these into an app so they be more portal and more widely available? Patty Anderson, Texas Disability Rights

National Response Framework • Annex 8: • The Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) leads all Federal public health and medical response to public health emergencies and incidents covered by the NRF. The response addresses medical needs and other functional needs of those in need of medical care, including assistance or support in maintaining independence, communicating, using transportation, and/or requiring supervision.
