Outreach Projects Goal: improve access to disaster medicine and public health information for the disaster health workforce Partnerships between a library and an organization with disaster-related responsibilities. Seven projects each year: 2011-12, 2012-13 Based on success of pilot projects: 2008-10
Partnerships Partnerships are across the United States and in rural, urban, and suburban settings. They include: Public, university, and hospital libraries Health departments Professional associations University disaster and emergency research centers Hospital alliances

She then discussed the importance of not just teaching people about preparedness, but about moving the community towards a state of readiness and how local libraries and response organizations might work together to do this.
