  2. When was this wonderful college found? • This wonderful college has been on this earth almost 100 years. This college was born in June 19th 1912 and will turn 100 in 2012.

  3. Where is it? • This wonderful exciting college is in Nashville, Tennessee.

  4. Presidents • Dr. Melvin N. Johnson was named the seventh president of Tennessee State University on March 10, 2005. He retired on January 2, 2011. Tennessee State University is currently electing a new president. • William Jasper Hale was appointed as the first head of TSU. He retired in 1948 leaving the responsibility to Walter S. Davis, which was their second president.

  5. Entrance Requirements • No student will be allowed to take any departmental courses, major courses, engineering courses, mathematics, and/or science courses without having successfully completed the proper grade for those courses with a grade of “C” or better.

  6. Famous!!!! • A lot of famous NFL football players attended this college such as Brent Alexander, Bennie Anderson, Bill Anderson, Richard Dent, Lamar Divens, Larry Tharpe, Cleveland Alam, Randy Fuller, Joe Gilliam, Claude Humphrey, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, Anthony Lavine, Steve Moore, Simon Shanks, Nate Simpson, Ollie Smith, Charlie Wade, Carl Wafer, Javarris Williams. A couple of jazz musicians attended this college also such as Jimmy Blanton, Hank Crawford, Cleveland Eaton, Joe Johnson. One jazz singer attended this college of the name Leon Thomas. One famous singer attended this college by the name of Carla Thomas. So I could save the best for last. Our talk show host Oprah Winfrey attended this college.

  7. Curriculum • This school major in nursing and that’s how it got its famous name the school of nursing.

  8. Major Things • This school does not have any major things besides the fact about the president problems when people don’t want to step down for presidency.

  9. Activities • Participation in organizations may serve to develop special talents and skills in music, dramatics, writing and religious expression or to develop an appreciation and capacity for leadership, cooperation and fellowship.

  10. Tuition • Cost of Attendance: • In-state: $17,414 Out-of-state: $30,410 • Tuition and Fees: • In-state: $5,854Out-of-state: $18,850 • Late fees are $100.

  11. Enrollment • Men: 2,874 • Women: 5,380 • Total: 8,254

  12. What part do I want to attend? • The parts of college I would like to attend are to be in Entrepreneurship and Culinary Arts.
