  2. Our Aims Allstudents fulfill or exceed their potential at GCSE All students get the full benefit of careers adviceto plan for future education, training, and employment

  3. Grades GCSE Grades 1 – 9 (Grade 9 = highest) Advanced Level Courses e.g. A Levelsrequire: 6 grade 5-9 passes including5 or higher English Lang AND Maths To study a subject at A level: a grade 5 or above in that subject is a requirement (6 for the Sciences, Maths and Languages)

  4. GCSE Programme Core English (2 GCSEs) Maths Science (2 GCSEs) RE (1 GCSE) PE (Core) Options 4-5 GCSEs

  8. Homework Routines 2 hours per night throughout Year 10 and Year 11 Set place – quiet, undisturbed, desk/table, no T.V, computer games, away from phones Get down to homework early in the evening

  10. What can parents & carers do? • Ensure good attendance & punctuality • Listen to problems • Plenty of support, praise & encouragement • Provide incentives! • Check and sign planner every week • Encourage them to revise work on a regular basis • Establish sound homework routines
