  2. What Are Cornell Notes? • Help take organized notes • Help identify keywords and concepts from a lecture • Help scan notes to locate important information

How Do I Take Them? • First, divide the paper into three sections as the example shows • Fold left side of your paper into the middle of paper and draw a vertical line on crease that goes top to bottom that is two inches from the left margin and stops three inches from the bottom of the page. • Underneath this, draw a horizontal line the width of the paper. • Write on one side of the paper only.

  4. Key concepts Notes Do NOT write in complete sentences and make sure it is in your own language so that it makes sense to YOU! Taking the Notes Title & Your Name Summary: Done at a later time

  5. Fractions  Decimals  Percents • The bar on a fraction also means to “divide” • Divide out the fraction • Remember, you will have to add 0’s to get an answer • So, the decimal form is .75 .00
