Ralph Hulett worked full-time at Disney until his early death in 1974. The artist created the backgrounds for several of Disneyu2019s most famous animated shorts and features including Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Song of the South, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians and The Jungle Book.

After graduating from the Chouinard Art Institute, for which he was awarded a full four-year scholarship, he went to work full-time at Disney until his early death in 1974. There the Illinois-born and California raised artist created the backgrounds for several of Disney’s most famous animated shorts and features including Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, Song of the South, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians and The Jungle Book. From 1949 to the time of his death, Hulett also painted Christmas card designs for the California Artists greeting card company
