  2. ORAVSKÝ HRAD DOLNÝ KUBÍN The most beautiful and the most visited castle in Slovakia reigns over the region of Orava. It used to guard the trading route in Orava which might have been a part of the Via Magna road leading from the North to the South and passing through the

  3. LIKAVA RUŽOMBEROK Besides having the reputation of excellent warriors, the Templars are said to have been skilled constructors. It is said that they have built several castles and monasteries in Slovakia.

  4. BLATNICA TURČIANSKE TEPLICE All that has been left of the royal castle in Blatnica is a ruin. Legend has it that the owners and the constructors of the castle were the knights with the red cross.

  5. STREČNO ŽILINA The reconstructed ruin of the castle stands on a steep hill overlookingthe entrance into the Váh canyon between the basins of Žilina andTuriec.

  6. RADOĽA KYSUCKÉ NOVÉ MESTO Although the region of Kysuce has no castles, the Knights Templar will visit the oldest residential site in Kysuce – the Manor House in Radoľa. It remembers the times of the oldest church in Kysuce at Koscelisko which istoday an archeological site.
