Region 10 Background • IEEE BoD is a Main Governing Body • Region 10 Director is one of 31 IEEE Directors • After two years Region 10 losses access to expertise and experience acquired by Past Directors. • Region 9 and Region 8 have Committees (Management and Advisory) consisting of Past Directors IEEE Region 10 Meeting, Chiang Mai, 2006

Region 10 Proposed Corrected Motion Provisions: • The AC will consist of up to four past Directors with an Immediate Past Director as a Chair • Term of Appointment: one year extendable to two years, or for a period of a given task • Composition of the AC: by invitation from IPD with consultation with Region 10 Director To Form a R10 Advisory Committee IEEE Region 10 Meeting, Chiang Mai, 2006

  4. Region 10 • Budget of the AC incl. travel: $10,000 per annum • The AC will be reviewed after two years • Tasks of the AC will be determined by R10 ExCom • Envisaged tasks for the AC for 2007 include development of scenarios of flexible membership fees, and assessment of interactions of R10 with the Industry IEEE Region 10 Meeting, Chiang Mai, 2006
