  1. Looking for effects of PDT state changes on Pedestals (or Pedestal Adjustments)during 14-Jan-2008 05-Feb-2008

  2. PDT status on 14-Jan-2008 • From Selcuk: • At 13:51, Cal plots with both PDT 12 and 16 on. • At 14:24, Cal plots with PDT 16 off. • At 14:48, Cal plots with both PDT 12 and 16 off. • So, most likely, untill 13:50 (or a few minutes before) both PDT 12 and 16 were on, and at that time PDT 16 was turned off. At about 14:24 (or a few minutes before) the PDT 12 turned off.

  3. Question? • Darien: My motivation is that I wanted to know if L1cal needs some "settling time" for the pedestal adjustments to catch up to changes induced by a change in muon power configuration. In this case, I think it was done between stores, so it was not an issue, but sometimes these muon changes need to be done during a store, in which case some of the data taken shortly afterwards might have strange trigger conditions.

  4. Average Ped Tracking Quantities

  5. Individual Towers Ped Tracking Quantities • Plot the Drift and Standard Deviation from the target 8 count of Zero Energy Response, for some quiet towers and some known noisy towers. • The underlying changes are occluded by the Active Pedestal Adjustment. The corrections turn pedestal step changes into spikes. In order to document the true effect, we need to look at the DAC control value being automatically adjusted.
