  1. ARE MAIN COON BREED NATURALLY “AGGRESSIVE”? Some Maine Coon cat owners might already experience this, but aggressiveness might be the number one problem in this breed. However, this can happen not only to Maine Coons, but in fact, to any pets. Aggressiveness is a normal animal behavior that can happen to any pet given the circumstances. Most people assume that Maine Coons are naturally aggressive mainly due to their “sheer size” and the fact that they are the largest breed of domestic cat. There are some additional factors that might contribute to this:

  2. Coon’s aggression is actually known to be developed out there—in the nature. It’s all because they’re skilled hunters! That leads to the natural assumption that they are wild, dangerous and aggressive. Even when you look at the History of the Maine, you can see that these felines were left on their own in the nature. But, physical appearance is not everything you should see. Yes, it is true that Maine Coons were out there in the nature for quite some time, but that was generations ago. The Maine Coons have been preserved, protected and taken in by families not so long after. Maine Coons are great lifetime friend. You can expect them to greet you on your door as soon as you are back from work, chat with you by chirping or trilling, and staying beside you all the time. When it comes to their personality, you can identify Maine Coonseasily. The terms that come to mind would be: Smart Lovely Loyal Sweet Affectionate Dog-like (dog of the cats) Family-oriented So I want to make sure that all of you know that most Maine Coons are very affectionate and friendly cats. They’re the “native American long-haired cat” that is highly trainable and intelligent according to the Cat Fancier’s Association and definitely won’t get aggressive without any reason.
