New Concept • Baltic Maritime Industrial Research and Implementation Center – concept started off in Szczecin, 12.12.2012 • Cooperation on local maritime market on high technologies and industry in off- shore, on-shore and relevant fields • Center will be settled insideinitatitve of Ministry of Science and Higher Education called: Road Map of Scientific Infrastructure. This will allow starting the full mission work on the concept. Concept is undersigned by : Maritime University of Szczecin, Municipality of Szczecin, West Pomerania Region and TechnicalUniversity of Szczecin Center will be based on specialists and infrastructure granted from collapsed Szczecin Shipyard and local universities, companies etc.

Scope Baltic Maritime Industrial Research and Implementation Center is focused on: • Marine Traffic Engineering, • Navigation and positioning of off-shore, in-shore objects both surface and underwater • Risk assessment and management in sea transport • Safety floating structures and vessels • Safety in underwater mining • Exploration of seabed • Marine geodesy and cartography • Design and technical aspects of exploitation of floating and anchored structures • Optimization of sea mining equipment • Optimization of thrusters, propellers and engines for marine purposes • Alternative fuels in maritime field • Design of off-shore wind farms
