WIA Youth Program

The WIA Youth Program in Escambia County has witnessed inspiring success stories that highlight the achievements of its participants. From Travis White, who completed his GED and earned a promotion opportunity at Circle K, to Sam Waz, a dedicated Pensacola High Law Academy student heading to college, these individuals exemplify the program's impact. With placements in diverse fields such as law, accounting, and law enforcement, the program fosters work readiness and career growth. The ongoing training efforts and dedicated instructors ensure that youth in our community are prepared for a successful future.

  4. Outstanding Worksites • Veterinary Emergency Referral Center • 3 students placed at Law Offices • 1 student placed at an Accounting Firm • 2 students placed at the Sheriff’s Dept. (Forensics & Crime Scene Technician) • 1 student placed at the Pensacola Police Dept.

  6. WIA Youth Activities Florida Ready to Work & Work Readiness Training • During June 2013 15 WFHS Academy students attended training taught by Ms. Angela Irby who is a Business Education instructor at PFHS

  7. Number of Youth Served Streamlining the Caseload…… In March 2013 the WIA Youth Program had 198 Active Participants In July 2013 the WIA Youth Program has 95Active Participants
