  1. BANDWIDTH TYPES OF BANDWIDTH: *BROADBAND *NARROWBAND *VOICEBAND THEIR TRANSMISSION SPEEDS..

  2. BANDWIDTH • WHAT IS BANDWIDTH? • Bandwidth is the rate at which data is transferred. It is the maximum amount of information that can be processed along a channel. Bandwidth is usually measured in ‘bits per second’. Bandwidth speeds are measured in kilobits per second (Kbps) and megabits per second (Mbps). • Source: Broadband- guide.org.uk.

  3. NARROWBAND • What is narrowband? • Narrowband describes the telecommunications that carries voice information in a narrow band of frequencies. The term narrowband, more specifically, has been used to describe a specific frequency range for radio or mobile services, including paging systems, from 50 cps to 64 Kbps. It transmits a maximum of 34, 000 bits per second. • SOURCE: MSN

  4. BROADBAND • WHAT IS BROADBAND? • Broadband is a high bandwidth connection to the internet, also known as high-speed internet, which is faster and easier as the normal telephone as information can be downloaded and sent much quicker. • Broadband transmission speeds are: 256Kbps, 512Kbps, 1 Mbps, 2 Mbps, 8 Mbps and 24 Mbps. 5. VOICEBAND • WHAT IS VOICEBAND • In electronics, voice band deals with the frequency range that a human can hear. It ranges from 20Hz to 20kHz. • In telephony, it means the frequency range that is normally transmitted by a telephone line, generally around 200Hz to 3600Hz. • Source: MSN.
