Activity Instructions Consider the issues we have just discussed for managing investigations. In looking at the case study: • What was done well? • What was not done well or according to ‘good practice’? • What would you have done differently in managing this investigation?
Risk and Risk Management • Managers need to plan for the risks associated with conducting an investigation of staff misconduct in your organization • Managers also need to weight the risks of NOT conducting an investigation when allegations of misconduct arise • A risk management approach should not turn into a ‘defensive posture’ where SEA is involved
