Suchevidenceisusuallyfound in verysmallquantities, and iscalledtrace evidence.

Itisimportantthatevidenceisnotcontaminated. Itmust be preservedcarefully, sinceitemsmaydeteriorateifthereis a longintervalbeforethe criminal trial begins.
