  2. Research Question & Hypothesis • How does the temperature of anode and cathode solutions ZnNO3 and CuNO3 affect the voltage in a voltaic cell? Hypothesis: Increased temperature would lead to an increased amount of voltage

  3. Introduction • Zn(s) Zn2+(aq) + 2e- (.76V) [oxidation] • Cu2+(aq) + 2e-  Cu(s) (.34V) [reduction] Zn(s) + Cu2+(aq)  Zn2+(aq) + Cu(s) (1.1V)

  6. Conclusion • In the end our hypothesis was supported by the data we received. • An increase in temperature resulted in higher voltage. • Errors/Improvements • Nature of correlation inconclusive
