  1. A Better Way to do Business Contact: Rob Shreeve 020 7000 1999 rob.shreeve@onealfredplace.com

  2. THE PROBLEM Many people based outside London travel into London regularly on business. Unless they have a London office they have nowhere to meet clients They also have nowhere to work between meetings They also have nowhere to relax between meetings

  3. THE PROBLEM London trips need to be organised like a military campaign Time is wasted travelling to other peoples offices You have to carry a laptop and case wherever you go You are cut off from your office: PA’s, print room, postal facilities etc.

  4. COMMON SOLUTIONS Starbucks Hotel lobbies Bars and pubs Private Members Club The IoD A serviced office

  5. OPTION 1 – HOTEL LOBBIES, BARS, PUBS & COFFEE SHOPS Unimpressive place to meet contacts Noisy, often messy and over-crowded Phone calls are difficult to make. Work on a laptop is difficult and poor wireless connectivity Impossible to recharge a laptop or phone Food and drink poor and/or expensive

  6. OPTION 2 – RESTAURANTS Expensive as regular meeting places Only available at lunch or dinner Cannot be used for work between meetings Laptops cannot be used and phone calls frowned upon.

  7. OPTION 3 – PRIVATE MEMBERS’ CLUBS Private Member’s Clubs offer a private bar and restaurant that no-one else can use. They are valuable if image and ambience are important to business But they have no other useful business facilities – they are an extension of a London office not a substitute for one.

  8. They have “lean back” not “lean forward” seating – not designed for work Mobile phones are banned or limited. Laptops are discouraged or banned Wireless connectivity is patchy Hot-desk space limited Office support is non-existent Food and drink charges relatively high

  9. OPTION 4 – THE INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS A good meeting and working space with food and drink and business facilities But can be crowded and hard to entertain clients The premises in Pall Mall are not ideally located for many businesses Has a style that does not appeal to everyone

  10. OPTION 5 – A SERVICED OFFICE A serviced office is low risk functional office space London rents are high – typically £8000 per person per annum & everything is extra Tenants pay for 5 days a week - 52 weeks a year. It is a poor solution for those who visit London for only a few days a week Support is poor & offices tend to be bland

  11. THE SOLUTION: ONE ALFRED PLACE A new kind of venue that combines the best of a private members club with the facilities you’d expect from your own London office Provides the business focus and facilities of the Institute of Directors but with the style of a top London Club

  12. THE BEST OF A MEMBERS’ CLUB A welcoming ambience where you feel recognised and appreciated A stylish environment to meet contacts or to relax Food served wherever you are sitting throughout the day – breakfast, business lunch, dinner and an informal club menu A stylish bar serving drinks throughout the day Showers and changing facilities Daily newspapers and magazines

  13. BUT ONE ALFRED PLACE IS DESIGNED FOR WORK: Open Monday – Friday 7am-11pm Mobile phones allowed throughout the club Power points & wireless at every sofa & table Free IT support Bespoke seating designed for work Upright sofas and chairs Secluded booths and informal meeting tables Workstations and private meeting rooms

Club Cabin for power naps Free personal lockers and long term storage Free email - Free Skype-in and VOIP handsets Free use of club laptops, phone chargers and 17” flat screens Members events with leading business speakers
