  2. The cause of these peoples deaths • Between 1964 and 2004, cigarette smoking caused an estimated 12 million deaths, including 4.1 million deaths from cancer, and 5.5 million deaths from cardiovascular diseases.

  3. Why people do it • "It is not the taste that counts. It's that sense of satisfaction you get from a cigarette that you can't get from anything else." • They think that smoking is Kool/fun, its makes you feel more relaxed, less stressed out too.\

  4. The Effects of Smoking (long term) • Long term- you would have bad breath, smelly hair, smelly skin and fingers where the cigarettes are placed turn a permanent yellow. • Heavy smoking can cause yellow nails • Birth weight (200 grams lighter)

  5. The Effects of smoking (short term) • Short term- bad breath, reduces brain activity, acid in stomach, blood pressure goes up even you heart rate starts to increase too. • Skin Temperature of Fingers & Toes, Irritates Eyes & Throat, physical endurance goes down.

  6. What is chewing tobacco • Chewing tobacco also known as smokeless tobacco is equally bad as smoking. It is a myth that chewing is not as harmful as smoking. Chewing tobacco is made of tobacco, nicotine, sweeteners and chemicals. This high leads gives temporary relief from stress and anxiety.
