This study presents detailed annotations for genes 18-27 of the Gomashi phage, including alignment with Halo and Liefie phages. Each gene's plausible start codon, SD scores, overlaps, and functional roles are described, emphasizing the importance of gene identification and proper annotation in enhancing understanding of phage biology. Our analysis demonstrates strong matches to existing G.phage mappings, indicating no missing genes. Collaboration and techniques for effective annotation were highlighted, and we reflect on our experiences in phage genome annotation.
