  1. What should I eat?(really, I need to know!) By Bailey Fink

  2. Food pyramids Yes, both of these pyramids are recognizable, but what are the differences? The answer is in what we should really be eating. “well what should we be eating?”

  3. New Pyramid • This is the new food pyramid. Look at how tall it stands, proud, tall, and most importantly, colorful. This is how we were meant to eat, with different amounts of fruits and vegies. Only a little bit more grains than the other groups, and less meat!

  4. Old Pyramid • This is the old pyramid. Ew. Where is the fun in that thing? All black and symmetrical… What is the government trying to do to us? Approving a food pyramid like this? First off, why do we need 6-11 servings of grains a day? Isn’t that a little over kill? Well, I guess it could be worse…. :

  5. Proteins? • Yes, proteins are good for you, Aki always says to eat lots. • But just eating meats is not healthy. • You need vegetables and fruits and milk to be strong and pretty!

  6. Dairy • Milk. Cheese. Yogurt. It all comes from a cows udders. • Yes, everyone. These magnificent organs of cows, goats, and the occasional Miltank make a delicious, healthy food or drink that we all need. We need them because of calcium. • And everyone knows the best calcium comes from a cow’s udders.

  7. Vegetables • Vegetables, not Vege tales. • Now that that is cleared up, lets get down to business. • Vegetables are very important in your diet. They give you lots of vitamins. They also have no empty calories, so you don’t have to burn any extra stuff off! • Didya know? If you eat to many carrots, you’ll look like an ompalompa!

  8. FRUITS! • Fruits are awesome. Fruits are good. They are like vegetables but not gross. Plus, some of them give you calcium, like milk does, and all of them give you vitamins, like that of the C variety. • Just feast your eyes on this Cornucopia of fruits! Plastic and delicious!

  9. Grains • Grains. The largest section of the pyramid. • The most important part of your diet, besides vegetables. • They even got a part in the national anthem, for crying out loud! • With a little protein, a some vitamins, a bunch of health, how can you go wrong? • Just look at that beautiful box of golden grains!

  10. Fats • Dun dun dun!!!! • Fats are the guilty pleasure found in everybody (I mean, did nobody notice how everyone reacted to Hostess going on strike?) • But this is the smallest section on the pyramid. The least important. • Meaning, DON’T BE TEMPTED BY THE FATTY, SUGARY GOODNESS! IT WILL KILL YOU!
