  1. Arlington Road Holly Higgins

  2. Setting The setting of the staggering boy is that of a wealth estate in America you can tell this by the size of the houses and the lay out with the trees lining the road. Before this you see the boy staggering through the street the setting makes the audience feel uneasy and uncomfortable as the vision they have of this sort of neighbor hood is that it is all white picked fences and nothing really bad happens there.

  3. Props The use of the mirror allows you to see the main man before you truly see him but not seeing him front on makes you think you are following him and that it is secretive. It also makes him look creepy and that something isn’t right.

  4. Costume The white shirt and blue tie makes you think that he has an important job with in some sort of office space and judging by the size of house around the area we know that it is highly paid. All of this is reinforced by the small but perposly placed pen though experience we learn that generally highly paid people in good positions carry their pen in their shirt pocket.

  5. Make-up The subtle make-up of redness around the eye shows the boy is in pain and he has been crying we are still un able to guess why he is in pain is it physical or emotional and what has happened to him. We feel emotionally drawn in to him because he is a child and we don’t like to see any child in pain.

  6. Figure expression The staggering of the young boy show that he is in pain isn’t very comfortable wit himself at the moment. It indicates to us that he has hurt himself. This makes the audience feel uncomfortable because it is clearly a child and we don’t like to see children especially in pain so this is un-nerving for us to watch.

  7. Addition information • The images fade in light and fuzzy with spinning of the camera around the character making the audience confused and uncomfortable. • We feel even more uncomfortable when we see blood start dripping on to his shoe we feel uneasy seeing this because it means that the boy has been hurt or it might mean that he has been abused making us feel comfortably has been pushed to the edge. • When the man picks up the boy the camera begins to spin rapidly around the and moves up and down whilst doing this making us feel even more comfortable.
