  1. From Caterpillar To Butterfly The Life Cycle of a Butterfly

  2. A butterfly goes through a lot of unbelievable changes before becoming an adult. These changes are called: Metamorphosis

  3. Stage 1: The Egg Butterflies start life as tiny eggs. Their mothers lay them on a leaf that will act as food for her baby when it hatches.

  4. Stage 2: The Caterpillar Caterpillars eat their way out of the egg shell. When it gets out, it keeps eating leaves.

  5. It Eats… And Eats… And Eats!!!

  6. Stage 3: The Chrysalis After the caterpillar has grown big, it sheds its skin and turns into a chrysalis. What is a Chrysalis? A chrysalis is a hard case that protects the caterpillar while many changes are taking place.

  7. Stage 4: The Butterfly After a few weeks, the chrysalis splits open and….. Out pops a beautiful butterfly!!!
