Using Technology in our Summer Seminars: Ideas, Tips and ChallengesTech Liaison Meeting May1, 2014 We begin at 3 pm EST!
How are you planning on…. • talking about Facing History’s rich presence on a variety of social media platforms? • presenting Facing History’s website and resources there? • explaining the library borrowing and streaming video assets? • What types of handouts and support do you need from p-tech or other?
From NY Teacher: Padlet Use Example • Hey Daniel, • I'm not sure if you are familiar with Padlet, but I use it frequently as a way to get the conversation started before we have class. To begin our Little Rock 9 unit I had the students research images of the 9 and post them on Padlet, along with what they thought might be going on in the photos. • Check it out here: http://padlet.com/wall/vkbvmzxq7c
Here’s Brian’s Top 3 Tips • VLC media player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html • Dowce screen capture: http://www.dowce.com/ • video downloader (YouTube): http://www.ytddownloader.com/1
