Sea Breeze – A cool breeze that moves toward the land to replace rising warm air from the land during the day.
Forest Breeze – Cooler air from under the forest canopy replaces the warm rising air from open terrain.
Valley Breeze – A wind that blows upward from the valley in order to replace warm rising air coming off the exposed peaks of a mountain.
Mountain Breeze – When the mountain air becomes cooler than the valley air, and rushes in to replace it. Usually happens at night.
Katabatic Winds – Movements of cold air from higher elevations to lower elevations.
