Glow Light Installation

On April 25, 2010, EDCI 407 student Courtney Chick embarked on a creative project inspired by the environmental art of Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The goal was to illuminate a peaceful backyard with a whimsical, large-scale installation using 200 bright glow sticks. This project aimed to blend vibrant colors and bold design elements into nature, encouraging observers to perceive their surroundings with fresh eyes. With the help of friends, the installation transformed a serene space into an eye-catching display, successfully merging fantasy with the natural world.

  7. The Idea • Goal is to create a piece in nature in a large scale using bright colors. The additive part should be eye catching and bold, something definitely not part of nature. • To take a peaceful place (my backyard) and add a whimsical fantasy touch to it
