  2. Prepositions • Prepositions are the words that indicate location. Usually, prepositions show this location in the physical world.

  5. Prepositional Phrases as Adjectives and Adverbs What is an adjective? An adjective modifies a noun or pronoun. What is an adverb? An adverb modifies a verb, adjective, or adverb. Prepositional phrases act as adverbs or adjectives. They modify nouns or pronouns or verbs, adjectives or adverbs.
