  1. Fundraising Panel STC South 2012 Host: Garvey Su, UCLA

  2. Panelists • Kevin Chiong, UNLV • Ryan Vescera, UCR • Andrew Shin, UCR • Tami Bi, UCLA • Gerard Gaw, UCLA

  3. Purpose of Panel • Now that you have started your positions as fundraising chairs or treasurer, it’s time to plan for the next year to make it the best ever yet! • Unlike DCON, this panel assumes you have a basic grasp of your position and seek to ask questions to augment your current experience. • Think of the next semester/quarter. Think of what you want to achieve. Think of questions to ask to achieve those.

  4. Past to Think About • How did you begin the start of your term? • Have you had your first fundraiser yet? • How did you approach planning it? • How did it result? • What difficulties, if any, do you have in planning fundraisers at your school?

  5. Future to Think About • What plans do you have for the upcoming month/term/etc • What goals did you have when making those plans? • What large fundraiser have you brainstormed or thought of yet? • What resources or type of assistance do you think you'll likely need for the upcoming year?

  6. Let’s Begin! • Keep the previous points in mind and ask panelists any questions you have. • Now is the time to find out what other schools do! Use their experience to enhance yours! • Space for notes is available on your literature. Use it wisely! • Contact any of us if you still have any questions after the panel!
