  2. Futuro Simples • Em inglês há duas formas de conjugar o futuro • Uma forma mais enfática e uma maneira mais informal • Antes de ensinar a conjugação do tempo futuro em inglês, vamos pensar sobre a conjugação desse mesmo tempo no português

Futuro Simples • Compare as seguintes frases: • Viajarei amanhã • Eu vou viajar amanhã • Pode-se observar que em português falar “viajarei” parece mais formal e enfático? • E falar “vou viajar” parece mais informal? • Em inglês o tempo futuro funciona da mesma maneira, porém nessa lição você aprenderá a maneira mais formal na afirmativa e negativa

  9. Futuro Simples • Abaixo encontram-se alguns complementos para formar frases no tempo futuro: • Tomorrow– amanhã • The day after tomorrow – depois de amanhã • Next week – próxima semana • Next weekend – próximo final de semana • Next month – próximo mês • Next year – próximo ano

Futuro Simples • Quando usar? • expressar o futuro; • expressar uma decisão ou intenção, geralmente feita no momento da fala; • expressar prontidão, boa vontade, disposição para fazer algo ou ajudar alguém • Não use will para coisas que já foram planejadas, marcadas, organizadas, com antecedência • Nesses casos, usa-se be + goingto

Futuro Simples • Algumas expressões de tempo futuro: • this Friday, next Friday, next week, next month, tonight, this evening, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, next year • Exemplos – frases com will: • I willbethere. • I will give you a ride. • He will answer the phone. • I will have an orange juice with my meal, please. • You will fall if you aren’t careful. • We will take her out to dinner. • I will not talk to him. • She will not take an umbrella. • Theywillnot come. • Will you do me a favor? • Will you please turn down the radio? I have a headache. • Will you help me with these books, please?

  12. Futuro Simples • DICAS SOBRE O USO DO MODAL VERB WILL • Use WILL quando resolver algo “na hora”. • Exemplo Barbara: Did you know it’s Anna’s birthday tomorrow? You: No! Really? Barbara: Yeah! You: I’ll buy her a present then.

  14. Futuro Simples • DICAS SOBRE O USO DO MODAL VERB WILL • Frequentemente, usa-se o verbo “think” junto com “will” quando se decide fazer algo. Como “will” é usado para decisões espontâneas, muitas vezes, as pessoas usam “eu acho que…” junto com“will”, reforçando a ideia de que tal decisão não foi planejadapreviamente The news says it will rain tonight. I think I will rent a video for us. What do you think? I think I will stay home again. I have to save money. I think I will visit my grandmother this weekend.

  15. Futuro Simples • DICAS SOBRE O USO DO MODAL VERB WILL • A negação de “I think I will” é “I don’tthink I will”. Prefira não usar “won’t” nessa construção. I don’t think he will come. It’s already 9:15 and he hasn’t shown up. I don’t think I will take an umbrella. I don’t think we will be late.

Futuro Simples • Outros tempos com Will • Future Continuous • Usado para expresar uma atividade que estará em progresso em um tempo específico no futuro. • Afirmativo: I / you / he / she / it / we / they will be traveling • Negativo: I / you / he / she / it / we / they will not be traveling (will not = won’t) • Interrogativo: Will I / you / he / she / it / we / they be traveling ?

  17. Futuro Simples • Outros tempos com Will • Future Perfect • Expressa uma ação que terminará antes de um tempo X no futuro. Não se sabe exatamente quando a ação acontecerá, mas sabe-se que acontecerá antes de um determinado tempo. • Afirmativo: I / you / he / she / it / we / they will have traveled • Negativo: I / you / he / she / it / we / they will not have traveled (will not = won’t) • Interrogativo: Will I / you / he / she / it / we / they have traveled?
