Explain how governments determine citizen participation: autocratic, oligarchic, and democratic. c. Describe the two predominant forms of democratic governments: parliamentary and presidential.

  6. UNITARY How Much Citizen Participation Do Citizens Have? Not much – They vote for representatives for the Central Govt.

  8. CONFEDERATION Examples of Confederation Governments: Conf. States of America (Civil War) Switzerland The European Union is similar to a confederation.
