Technology Investment Process (TIP) Update • Data call request for technology submittals from the RTC Members and Government Laboratories at end of January/beginning of February • Technology submittals returned to the JGRE at the end of February • Technology Assessment Process (TAP) with the Technology Advisory Board (TAB) kicks off in March

Draft Vision (2011 Unmanned Systems Roadmap) The Department of Defense’s vision for unmanned systems is the seamless integration of diverse unmanned capabilities that provide flexible options for Joint Warfighters while exploiting the inherent advantages of unmanned technologies, including persistence, size, speed, maneuverability, and reduced risk to human life. DOD envisions unmanned systems seamlessly operating with manned systems while gradually reducing the degree of human control and decision making required for the unmanned portion of the force structure.

Ground Robotics Vision Update • Purpose is to develop and reconcile the vision for the ground robotics community as a whole, as well as goals/objectives/path forward • Interviews of key stakeholders/visionaries will take place in January 2011 • The final workshop with key stakeholders to finalize/polish the vision/path forward will take place in February 2011
