  2. Display screen equipment act 1992: The intention of the regulations is to provide a framework governing the use of display equipment, so that users do not suffer health and safety issues believed to be associated with its prolonged use. Regulations cover minimum standards for workstation, the provision of eye tests for employees and exemptions to the regulations • maintenance of buildings and equipment • lighting • provision of drinking water • temperature • rest facilities • ventilation • toilet facilities • first aid.

  3. Electricity at workstations 1989 electrical systems in the workplace must be constructed so as to be safe. Work done on or close to electrical systems must be performed so as to minimize risks of injury.

  4. Electrical testing Automated Testing • Automated testing uses computers to analyze information about electrical circuits. These computers are usually calibrated to test a specific type of electrical equipment. • Circuit Breaker Testing • Circuit breakers are tested to ensure that they will clear a short circuit with minimal damage. The circuit is opened at its rated phase-to-phase voltage • Backplane Tester and Burn-In Testing • The backplane tester checks various electronic components, such as capacitors and resistors. It is also important for testing electrical networking. • Battery Testers • Battery testers are very important when a device has a large and expensive battery that can't be replaced easily. These testers analyze the battery's fuel cell • Electronic Control Unit Testing • Some machines contain testing units. They are known as electronic control units. These units test various aspects of an automobile and send information to an internal computer

  5. Electrostatic discharge when two electrical objects or an electrical object and a person are in close contact. The result can cause damage to an electrical device or even cause it to stop working completely. To lower the risk of ESD, you can wear a wrist band or use a grounding mat that has been designed to stop ESD.

  6. Appropriate use of fire extinguisher 1. Make sure the fire extinguisher is upright. 2. Remove the plastic tie from the handle. 3. Pull the pin from the handle. 4.Aim the nozzle low, while keeping the extinguisher upright. 5. Squeeze the handle. The substance will be released. 6. Move in toward the fire, keeping the extinguisher focused on the base of the fire, when you can see that it's being put out. 7. Sweep the extinguisher from side to side until the fire is out.

  7. Disk Defragmenter 1. The first stage is to find it, so click on start and search disk defragmenter.

  8. 2. The second stage is to start the de fragmentation by analyzing first and then defragging.

  9. 3.This is the final stage of the whole process which the defragmentation has been completed.

  10. Deleteing temporary or cookies files 1. This is the first stage of the process click on internet options.

  11. 2. This is the second stage which you click on browsing history and then delete.

  12. Health and safety procedures • wear a wrist band or use a grounding mat that has been designed to stop ESD. • Check all the power cables, wires and switches.
