Constrains in the field • In adequate preparation regards to rescue efforts • No efforts to establish population figures • Improper arrangements for assessment and relief activities • Lack of coordination regards to relief and recovery • No regular updates from the agencies
Way forward • Comprehensive preparedness at district level including trainings for rescue, first aid and Ambulance services. • Technical and logistic support for rescue at district level • Prepositioning of supplies at provincial and district levels • Emergency preparedness of health facilities at district and provincial level • Established population figures at district level by villages based on an accepted source • Village level mechanism to report the emergencies and losses • Effective district and provincial coordination mechanism • All agencies should participate in the coordination meetings and report their activities for better response and avoid duplications
