  4. First mentioning • The first mentioning of hallucinogenic mushrooms in the western medical literature appeared in the London medical and physical journal in 1799.

  5. Effects • Psilocybin mushrooms are non-addictive, and rarely abused. • All mushrooms have effects though.

  6. Medicine • Mushrooms were mainly used as medicine. • Mushrooms have also been called in to treat mental illnesses.
