Game Day

Join us for the Level Up Leaders Game Day featuring exciting tournaments, tech demos, and delicious food! Our event will be held on April 9th (potentially April 16th) at Goldstein Library and the Shores Building lobby. Enjoy pizza from Hungry Howies and compete for prizes, including gift cards from Jersey Mike's and Hungry Howies. We'll have multiple gaming stations set up, including Xbox 360s and possibly a StarCraft II tournament! Stay tuned for confirmed details, as we finalize our marketing strategies and partnerships.

  1. Game Day Level Up Leaders: Matt Russi and Brittney Montgomery Members: Christine Olano, Garrett Fontenot and Naaman Butler

  2. What we have accomplished • Date • Set for April 9th. However, this may change to April 16th. • Location • Will take place in Goldstein Library and the lobby of the Shores Building • Prizes • Jersey Mikes offered gift cards • Hungry Howies gift cards

  3. What we have accomplished • Food • Hungry Howies will provide pizza for $5 a large pie • Marketing • We have a quote for SLC advertising ($40/wk) • Contacted Residence Life. Fliers can be posted 3-5 days before event • Flier has not been finalized yet due to possibility of datechange.

  4. What we have accomplished • Games • Gamescape will provide 8 Xbox 360s, monitors, controllers and game discs (Halo Reach or Call of Duty Black Ops) • We are in talks with Gamescape about the possibility of a StarCraft II tournament (PC) but they have been hesitant on taking too many PCs out of their store. • We will have classic consoles setup for those who like to be nostalgic.

  5. What we have accomplished • Tech Demos • Best Buy • They will bring an iPad and Motorola Xoom (Android Honeycomb 3.0) tablet for demo

  6. Where do we go from here • Date • Set a date within the next week. • Waiting on confirmation from businesses for date change • Marketing • Meet with other groups this week about trading help • Talked with Guerilla Marketing 2 already • Recruiting Site • Web Marketing group

  7. Where do we go from here • Tech Demos • We want to expand from just Best Buy. We have contacted FSU Computer Store but have not received a response yet. • Games • Looking at the possibility of a PC gaming tournament • Prizes • Companies need official documentation before committing. • GameStop, Games 4 Less

  8. Where do we go from here • Food • Getting plates and napkins • Acquiring drinks • Talk to other pizza places so Hungry Howies is not swamped
