2007-2008 CSCOPE Mathematics ImplementationKinder-5th Curriculum and Instruction Math Specialists support CSCOPE Math Curriculum by providing the following: additional resources to supplement CSCOPE lessons mathematical content explanations lesson modeling assessment development data analysis TEKS refinements technology assistance grade level meetings Brownsville ISD provided each elementary campus with additional monies to be used to purchase resources required to implement CSCOPE lessons.

Current District Curriculum 2007-2008 District 6-12 Mathematics Curriculum Frameworks are available in the BISD Curriculum and Instruction website. Professional Development was provided during August and January District Waiver Days using a conference style format which included: best practices, ELL, technology, Special Ed, Pre-AP, and an overview of newly adopted textbook resources. Additional training is provided as needed by math cluster specialist, CSCOPE lead teachers, TOT for TEKS Refinements, and TOT for TAKS Connections.

CSCOPE Science Continuous PlanSpring 2008 In order to facilitate the implementation of CSCOPE Science, the Science Specialists are conducting the following CSCOPE Science professional development activities to build capacity at the campus level. The following are professional development activities that will take place: • Elementary (K-5) • Pull Out Day • Grade Level Lead Teacher Training • Middle School (6-8) • Pull Out Day • Summer Science Institute • Middle School OEYP-Science
CSCOPE Science Implementation 2008-2009 The Science Specialists will support the CSCOPE Science implementation by providing maintenance professional development activities at the campus level. The following are professional development activities will be taking place: • Kinder – 8th • New Teacher CSCOPE Training • On-going Maintenance Training • Campus Visits to meet with Facilitator • Points of Contact Meetings/ Department Chair Meetings
