  2. Point • Draws your attention to important information.

  3. Line • Can be straight, curved, dotted, broken, wavy, jagged, horizontal, vertical, etc. • Lines can direct the attention of the viewer, while diagonal lines can represent action.

  4. Value • Value is relative degrees of lightness and darkness in a design. • Dark areas tend to show gloom, mystery, drama, menace. • Light areas show happiness, fun, warmth, closeness.

  5. Texture • This is the surface characteristics of a material that can be experienced, through the sense of touch, or the illusion of touch.

  6. Color • Warm colors are red, orange, yellow. • Cold colors are blue, green, violet.
