  2. Jump Lists • Designed to give access to the most recent files used • You create Jump Lists by “pinning” files, programs, for folders to the Task Menu • Jump Lists can be created on the Start Menu and the Task Bar

  3. Pinning a Program to the Task Bar Jump List NOTE: If Windows Explorer is already pinned to the Task Bar Jump List, you should skip this step. Windows Explorer is now on the Task Bar and it will stay there until you unpin it 3. Right click on, Windows Explorer 4. Click, Pin to Start Menu Click Start Type in, Windows Explorer

  4. Pinning MS Word 2007 to the Task Bar Jump List 2. Click on Pin to Taskbar Find MS Word 2007 on the Start Menu and right click on the link (Your file may be in a different location on the Start Menu) 3. MS Word is now pinned on the Task Bar Jump List

  5. Pinning a Folder to the Task Bar Jump List 3. Click on, Windows Explorer 4. Click on the arrow to the left of the Computer Icon Click on the Start Menu Icon Type in Windows Explorer in the Search Box

  6. Pinning a File to the Taskbar Jump List 1. While holding down the left mouse button, click on the Temp folder and drag it to an open place on the task bar 2. Click on the Windows Explorer Icon The Temp Folder is now on the Jump list

  7. Using a Task Bar Jump List Open the Test1 file and the Test2 file from the Jump List on the Start Menu Minimize both files 3. Notice when you have more than one copy of a file open, the program icon on the Task Bar will display as a 3-D 2 Layered Icon

  8. Using a Taskbar Jump List 2. A list of recently opened Word files will display. You can open the files, close them, or pin the file or the MS Word 2007 program to the task bar You can select any open file on the list You can close all MS Word 2007 files (For this class, we do not want to close the files yet) You can open a new MS Word 2007 document 1. Right click on the Word icon

  9. Viewing Open Files on the Taskbar 2. If you point to a thumbnail a full screen view of the file will display If you click on a thumbnail a window will display and the file will become the active window 1. Point to the Word icon A thumbnail of each MS Word 2007 is displayed

  10. Opening a Program on the Taskbar Jump List 2. Click on Microsoft 2007 1. Right click on the Word Icon

  11. Viewing the Desktop Using Aero Peek 2. Maximize the Test1 file by clicking on the Test1 File 3. Maximize the Test2 file by following the same steps 4. Place the mouse button on the far left side of the Task Bar 1. Right click on the Word icon 5. Notice the entire Desktop displays. 6. Point to the bar again to redisplay the open windows
