  1. Plan for “Inspirational Elements” Objective: You will create a layout in order to plan for your final artwork. DRILL: • Title your page: Plan for INSPIRATIONAL ELEMENTS • Why do you think it’s called this? • If you don’t have at least 6 drawings on your brainstorm page, be creative draw more. • As Miss Gauger gives you choices, draw your plan for this lesson.

  4. Draw the layout of how you might display your multiple pieces: • Are they vertical or horizontal or diagonal or overlapping?

  5. Re-draw your designs in the boxes:

  6. Color Schemes • Must create one piece with one of the 6 color schemes that we learned: • Warm - Monochromatic • Cool - Neutral • Analogous - Pastel • The other can be your choice. Stick to 3-5 colors only. • Mix your own colors. Do not just use pure primaries, secondaries, and black and white. • Use colored pencils or watercolor to plan for your final artwork.

Criteria for your grade • 2 or more artworks • Designs with lines and shapes • Use one of the 6 color schemes that we learned. • Mix at least 3 colors to make it yourself. • Inspirational words in a font drawn, glued on • DIFFICULTY • FOCUS • NEATNESS- CRAFTSMANSHIP • CREATIVITY • COMPOSITION- BALANCE

  8. Gesso your cardboard Gesso is white paint that creates a base for your artwork. STEPS: • Get your cardboard. • Write your name on the back of each one. • Get a plastic placemat. • Use a larger brush. • Paint an even coat of white paint. • If it dries, paint a second coat. • Let it dry. (Hair dry it) • Place in YOUR CLASSES DRAWER. • Or put it in the sketchbook cabinet.

  9. Experiment with your Aesthetic Objective: You will use automatic art to explore yourself as an artist. To think about: • What were your 5+ words that were in your aesthetic power point? • How can you incorporate this into this artwork? • How can you have fun and like it? • Be creative.
