  1. Vibes Txting 101 made with txt love by Natalie

  2. On the right, click “Login” (you’ll only have access to your own station)

  3. In the grey box on the “nav bar” click “Campaigns”.

  4. Here you’ll see every campaign, whether it’s an Alert, Vote, Info, etc..

  5. WSSP Alert Keywords32961 • TEAM (breaking sports news or WSSP news) • BREWERS (breaking Brewers news/scores) • BUCKS (breaking Bucks news/scores) • PACKERS (breaking Packers news/scores) • BADGERS (breaking Badgers news/scores) • ADMIRALS (breaking Admirals news/scores) • PERKSPlease never touch this, all 3 brands PERKS txt clubs live on the WSSP short code, you’ll never have to update this • WINThis is TBD, don’t worry about it right now, we’re squatting on this keyword

  6. Other pre-set campaigns • INFO (by txting keyword info, listeners will be txt back our address, hours of operation & are reminded to bring a photo ID to pick up a prize, very useful) • REQUEST (this is the keyword listeners use when they want to txt you in the studio, followed by their message. Ex: Request Doug, Mike is correct on that score from yesterday) • WSSP (this is the old keyword from mSnap & we want to take it out of circulation for a while so we can reuse it. If listeners txt WSSP and their message, it will still come to the studio, but they will get a bounceback message telling them the keyword isn’t valid & they should txt keyword REQUEST)

  7. To send a txt to a certain “alert list” click either the description or keyword. Ex: click TEAM

  8. Now, click on the green box “Broadcast Message” to send a txt to the “breaking news” alert list

  9. The description is for your reference only. The message is what will actually be sent. And you can also see how many subscribers the list has.

  10. Compliance language (the not fun part) • Anytime we send (or “push”) a message to an alert list, we legally must include the following language at the end of the message: • Txt rtes aply/Reply STOP ____ 2quit • The _____ is whatever the keyword is for the alert list you are using, otherwise if they are signed up for multiple alerts lists it will opt them out of every single one of them

  11. This is a continuation of that same page, scrolled down. You’ll want to send to ALL (as indicated here). You cam click SEND NOW, or you can schedule it to be delivered later but clicking on SCHEDULE.Ask me to explain “Override this message for a specific carrier”

  12. Even if you click SEND NOW, you still must Review your message & then click OKAY to confirm or CANCEL (if you need to tweak your message before it goes out)

  13. Make sure the green stripe says “Congratulations, your message has been saved” otherwise, it’s not & it won’t be sent

  14. Info Campaign… you won’t have to change this, ever, but you can use it! Give it to contest winners. If they txt STATION to 32961, the bounce back will give them our address and business hours & main phone number!

  15. Request Campaign… this is how listeners will txt you in the studio

  16. Click keyword LIVE and…

  17. Scroll down to the bottom where it says REQUESTS. You can see comments come in & above it you can see the automatic bounce back message listeners receive when they txt in. If you wan to “chat” with someone in particular, click on their

  18. This handy box will pop up & you can type your message right in the box. You can type something to that person specifically in the SEND MESSAGE box. Then hit “Send Message”.

  19. Then, in the big box, your “chat” will come up, just like when you IM someone or CHAT on facebook. To clear it, just click the red X in the upper right of the chat.

  20. To create a new campaign, like a VOTING or TRIVIA thing, go back to the DASHBOARD & click on the green box “Create a New Campaign”

  21. Let’s look at Txt2Win CampaignYou’ll click on Text-2-Win on the blue line, the click the green “Create a New Txt2Win Campaign”

  22. Txt2Win walk-throughAdd your end date/time and describe it (the description won’t be seen by anyone)

  23. Under the description, you’ll select your keyword & it will tell you right away if it’s available. Under Sweepstakes TYPE, click to see your options….

  24. 1. Random selection at end (most common) & you can pick how MANY winners will be randomly selected2. First Nth # of txters (like… the first 5 people who txt, win!)3. The Nth txter wins (like… the 1250th txter wins!)4. Every Nth txter wins (like… every 3rd person who txts wins. Probably won’t use a lot)5. Winner (s) MANUALLY selected (let the system just do it for you)

  25. Here is where you’ll pick how often someone can enter. I like to keep it once per contest, seem more fair to me.

  26. Number of winners (if there is more than one)

  27. Response upon entry is the bounce back, like “Thnx 4 entering, we’ll have a winner b4 6pm”.Response to winner(s) is optional, but you can easily type “u won the Bucks tix 4 2morrow! Reply INFO 2 get our address/hours of operation so you can pick them up”

  28. This is a continuation of the same page. You don’t have to send a response to non-winners, but you can (Ex: Sorry, u didn’t win the Bucks tix but we’ll have another change 2morrow around 2pm) to drive listening back to the station at another time

  29. Very Important… you must click CREATE at the bottom

  30. Trivia is a little challenging, took me a couple tries to get it right. Click “Create a New Trivia Campaign” in the green box.Let’s take a look at a TRIVIA campaign

  31. Trivia Campaign Walk-ThroughStart by putting in an end time

  32. Put in your description (won’t be seen by the public), the keyword you want to use (it will tell you right away if the keyword is available or not), and the Trivia Type, which is either 1) pick a random winner(s) from all correct entries received or 2) the first “x” number of correct entries win

  33. Here is where you add your question, I haven’t tried adding a clue

  34. Not sure why, but it prompts you to add a question before you’ve given possible answers to the first question, so scroll down to Questions & Answers

  35. The keyword here is what listeners will txt as their answer. I use 1, 2, 3 if giving them 3 options. Then the description is the “answer” that corresponds. Make sure you click “This is a correct answer” when you type that one.

  36. Now I’m adding the second possible trivia answer, so 2 is my keyword & 212,000lbs is the corresponding answer. 212,000 is the correct answer so I checked the “This is a correct answer” box

  37. Here’s my 3rd choice for an answer. You can see all your answers too! Hit NEXT (at the bottom) when you are finished

  38. This is the screen after you hit “NEXT” & where you will finalize your campaign, tell the system how many winners to randomly pick from correct entries received & write your bounceback messages

  39. Bounceback messages to listeners who finished all the questions, winner(s) & those who didn’t complete the questions. You must hit ACTIVATE at the bottom (not shown) to activate your campaign

  40. Once you hit “Activate” you’ll see this screen

  41. this is just scrolling down, but keep scrolling…

  42. You can delete or move your trivia questions here

  43. Here at the end, you can click at the very bottom “automatically subscribe to _____” which means …

  44. The system can put anyone who enters the trivia contest into one of our Alert Lists, like TEAM, if you select an Alert Keyword from the drop down box & hit SAVE. BUT… if you do that, you MUST disclose on air that by entering the contest, you’ll be put into our Txt Club.

  45. VOTE CampaignGo back to the dashboard, where everything starts and click on VOTE

  46. VOTE Campaign Walk-ThroughClick “Create a New Vote Campaign” in the green box

  47. Add your end date & time (maybe it ends at the end of your shift; maybe til your shift starts the next day) & your description that is for your reference only

  48. When you scroll down it asks how many times a person may vote. You can do unlimited or 1-20 times per campaign, per day, per week, per hour, per month. Unlimited or once per campaign make most sense to me.Assign a keyword they will txt to get the choices sent to their phone. Txt VOTE & see! Then you write your question, keyword (like 1, 2, 3, or A, B, C) & then the corresponding description or choice

  49. You can leave the Default Vote Response Message blank. Let the system just sent one. But… you MUST click CREATE at the bottom
