  2. St. Louis (Lewis & Clark) St. Louis Missouri is where Lewis and Clark started their journey. This expedition was important to Manifest Destiny because it mapped out a lot of the land to the west. Lewis and Clark.

  3. San Antonio, Texas The Alamo! • Texas and Mexico fought for Texas’s independence. • Started February 23, 1836 and ended around April 23, 1836

  4. Sutter’s Mill…. One day James Marshall was walking and saw something shinny in the water. Soon he realized it was gold. People soon found out gold was found and a lot of people moved find some for their self.

  5. Orgen Trail • There was a time around 1841 and 1869 where farmers, ranches, and families moved west along the Oregon Trail in search of finding a brand new beginning for freedom and an area to farm and start over with better chances. This new population towards the west began to expand.

  6. Camp River Dubois This was a fort at which Lewis and Clark was on their voyage and made a stop that made others believe that there was more to see therefore people expanded throughout the west!
