While I was on my way back home from Zürich, I made a list of food I had to eat when we’re back in KL. Although it had only been 9 days of cheese, pizza and bread, but there was already a sense of deprivation on the third day from my staple diet of rice, soup, spice… Basically the Asian flavours. I’m pretty sure many of you get what I mean. So after being back for almost a week, I’ve actually crossed everything off the list except Japanese cuisine. Still can’t believe I was desperate enough to even settle for some crappy sushi from a takeaway shop in Geneva. Anyway… There were so many things I craved for at that moment so we decided to go on a Japanese cuisine feast/ restaurant hop around The Table in Isetan The Japan Store since it’s got all kinds of variety within the perimeter! Our first stop was at Toriden, a restaurant originated from Hakata-ku in Fukuoka where we had “appetizers”.

Our first stop was at Toriden, a restaurant originated from Hakata-ku in Fukuoka where we had “appetizers”. Toriden had a large space that was divided into 3 sections; the dining area, bar and also the traditional Japanese tatami seatings. We quickly decided on the bar since there was only 2 of us and we were planning to have some sake to drink. It was also convenient that we had May, one of the staff here to give us some insights and recommendations on the must-haves. WWW.MISSGETABOUT.COM
