While several cricketers have openly admitted that they idolize Dhoni, veteran cricketer David Miller is the latest player added on this list, who himself plays the finisher’s role for South Africa for a long time now. Recently, during a fun #AskMiller chat session with fans on Twitter, he was asked to say few words For Dhoni. And, he didn’t take much time to praise Dhoni and said “One of my favourite cricketers. Best finisher I’ve seen, very humble, and love his calm demeanour.” Both Miller and Dhoni were last seen in action during the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) respectively before the league got suspended on May 4. After several players and support staff started infecting by the deadly virus inside the bio-bubble, the BCCI and the IPL Governing committee took the call to call off the tournament with an immediate effect. However, before the cancellation, Miller showed his class and scored a swashbuckling 62 in a match. But he failed to carry forward his form in the rest of the matches as he ended up scoring only 88 in five games.
