Bachelor of Technology offIn the past years, there have been staggering technological changes that have transformed the world. With the presence of technology, about hundreds and thousands of resources and tools have been created.

  3. These tools and resources have made it possible for humans to access any information on our fingertips. With more than 50% of the Indian population actively using the internet, the Information Technology industry is only going uphill. The alarming rate of growth of the IT industry in India has caused changes in almost everything done by us. Let's examine the future of Information Technology and its impact on India.ers different streams like Nuclear Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geoscience, Biotechnology Engineering, and many others.

  4. The past of Information Technology in India • India had quite a bit of laggard past compared to the other developing countries with regards to the Information Technology industry. However, the country's IT revolution made the software industry to be recognized amongst the most successful in the world. With the outsourcing of software companies in the late 1970s, India saw a boom in its IT industry. The 1990s had a renewal of project-driven software services. These services ignited the Indian software industry. Since then, there has been a remarkable growth in the Indian IT Industry.

What does the future of IT look like? • With the new coming up of new technologies now and then, there is no doubt that the world will drastically change with regards to information technology in the years coming ahead. The points mentioned below highlight the future of Information Technology:

  6. 1. Internet of Things. • As per the recent survey conducted, more than 86% of the respondents have plans to increase their IoT spending in the years coming ahead. It also stated that various organizations in the US spent about $4.6 million on IoT, and these organizations are now planning to increase their spending by transforming their business models. In the coming years, people will start observing sensors on equipment, security systems, machinery, heating units, and almost everything, and IoT will play an essential role for the same.

  7. 2. Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. • Even though Artificial Intelligence's concept is about 60 years old, it has seen a lot of popularity since the last decade. Artificial Intelligence has the power of transforming business strategies with its passive storage and operational capability. Robotics, self-driving cars, personalized medicines, and even new teaching methods – Artificial Intelligence is set to take over, and it will, in the years coming ahead.

  8. 3. Augmented Reality. • Thanks to the advancements in the IT industry in the past decade, augmented reality is not just about science-fiction. Even though AR was used for a few projects and the costs associated with AR were extremely high, now everything has changed. With the present technology, AR is also available on a mobile handset. AR will be applied in Art, Military, Navigation, Education, and Architecture in the future. • After looking at the increasing scope of IT in the future, one thing is sure that there will be endless job opportunities created for engineers in all parts of the world.
