  2. What does a Doctor do? When I grow I want to become a Doctor. A doctor is a qualified practitioner of medicine. Did you know the study of an Anesthesiologist takes roughly four years. Growing up with a family of doctors on my dads side, inspired me into looking into the medical field. I specifically want to become an Anesthesiologist; it is a different type of doctor. An Anesthesiologist monitors patience’s condition during surgery and administrates the drugs. I will be researching how much I would get paid yearly, flexible hours, benefits, and vacation days.

Responsibilities of a Doctor • First the doctor has to take the patients drug history. • Second; the doctor has to perform the physical examination. • Prescribe the appropriate drug for the patient. • Monitor the response of the patience drugs. • Lastly modify the drugs and drug dosage as necessary.

  4. Working conditions • Being a doctor you have to be able to touch and interact with people; with being so, it is a physical process. • performs his/hers work in a hospital; indoors • A doctor works fifty four hours a week • The doctors environment could become chaotic sometimes. Such environment for doctors could become exhausting and stressful. A doctor generally works in a large hospital with other doctors, nurses and a lot of unwell patients.

Tasmanian Qualifications Authority • You need to earn your Bachelors degree in the medical field in order to become a certified doctor. • I plan on going to Michigan State to earn my medical degree. • In high school; right now I would take the medical class. In this class you have the experience to work in an actual hospital and get a glimpse of what a doctor goes through in performing his/hers job.

  6. Job Outlook • The doctor employment rate is 18%; faster than average. • The employment rate will soon grow due to the continued expansion of heath-care related industries. • With being a doctor requires a lot of work; but it is a very competitive field. You get paid higher than the average person; so therefore you will get people becoming a doctor mostly for the high pay rate. • I would like to find the doctor openings within a well know, large hospital. • I desire to work at a near by hospital to where I will be living when I am older. I specifically want to work at St. Johns Hospital.

Life style goals • My life style goals are to have a successful job, have a happy family, and being able to travel the world. • A doctors average salary is usually 156,000 per year. • Making almost 200,000 dollars per year , fits one of my goals. • With these earnings I will first purchase a house; a condo to start off with.

  8. Professional Soccer Player • With being a professional soccer player you have a lot of responsibilities. You have to eat healthy, get a lot of rest, and be dedicated. • The work conditions are good. Even though you get hurt you get paid a good amount of money and you get recognition. • With training you first have to go to a D1 collage for soccer and if you are good enough the USA team could pick you up and you could play for them. • It is not likely for a person to become a professional athlete. You have to be good at the sport, and know what you are doing. So therefore the employment rate is low. • Earnings for a soccer player depends how good you are at the sport. ChristianoRonaldo is the highest paid soccer player. He got paid 200 million dollars for signing with Madrid. • I chose this career because I have been playing soccer ever since I was a little kid; and because I have the love for the sport.

  9. Summary • I am very determined to become a doctor. My feelings towards the career are positive. I feel as if im taking on a great responsibility. I mostly look forward to interacting with others; and being able to save someone’s life. I am not looking forward to the amount of stress that is put on a doctors shoulders; or the responsibility of whether or not saving someone’s life. I overall learned that the expectations for a doctor are high. An Anesthesiologist takes about four years of schooling. Also becoming a doctor you deal with a lot of data, drugs, and patients.
