CsI(Tl) Properties scintillation efficiency decreases with increasing ionization density scintillation efficiency depends on – particle type – energy - non-linear response t1 = 700ns (64%) t2 = 3.3 ms (36%) depend on temperature and ionization density Problem with ballistic deficit?
