  3. ….RESEARCH AND INNOVATION ORIENTED TERRITORY : • organized economic clusters which associate research and entreprises : POLEPHARMA, PERCHEBOIS, COSMETIC VALLEY, AGRODYNAMIC. • diversify and assure the outlets of the first cereal department of France and its natural resources… • … by an innovative method, partnership, source of employments

  4. intensification of the competitiveness of sectors within the framework of calls for national projects : • COSMETIC VALLEY labelled « competitiveness cluster » in 2005 • « AGRODYNAMIC » labelled « rural excellence cluster » in 2006 • 4 AGRODYNAMIC fields : - agro-energy, - agro-food, - agro-material, - agro-health.

  6. PROJECT 1 : MAKING BEST USE OF THE PRODUCTION ON BOILERS USING BIOMASS

  7. PROJECT IN EURE-ET-LOIR : • Installation of boilers using plants in three public facilities located in three intermunicipalities : • sports and childhood poles in Cloyes-sur-le-Loir • « Maison de la Beauce » in Orgères-en-Beauce • Music school in Voves 3 local authorities wishing to join an action towards energy saving and sustainable development

  8. Farmer’s investment : • develop the production of long-lasting and/or annual plants : miscanthus, willow, sorghum, triticale • develop the setting of drying and stocking units • organize the cluster starting from the production to supply of boiler rooms

  9. identified partners : • Chamber of Agriculture of Eure-et-Loir, professional organizations supporting the farmers who produce and transform biomass • entreprises which master and transform the harvest : • “Bical France” who advises the farmers, realizes the plantation and sets up contracts with an energy-consumer (local authority) • “SODEM” who markets staw or wooden granules (Thermobois et Thermopaille) • “PROMILL STOLZ” , specialist of grinding, granulation and mixtures • .....

  10. new possible R&D outlets : • development of the wood pulp technology using raw material to replace wood with plants • production of bio-éthanol using plants • piles of hydrogen using plants

INTERREGIONAL CO-OPERATION PROJECT : • work in partnership on the optimization of the efficiency of boilers using biomass to be installed in three public facilities in Eure-et-Loir • R&D work on the use of new fuels (valorization of straw) within the framework of short circuits of agro-energy

Setting up of cooperative systems structuring and securing the cluster (public-private partnership, instigation of producers, consumption circles, role of local authorities, installation of boilers…) • Registration of partners within the framework of a european research program in the field of biofuels (7th PCRD, CIP…)

  16. PROJECT IN EURE-ET-LOIR : • Local inventory of agromaterials in Eure-et-Loir : production, transformation, R&D, use • Participation in the 16th « Fête de la Science » in Eure-et-Loir (October 2007) to present and expose agromaterial products used for the construction of buildings

  17. Definition of a policy in Eure-et-Loir aiming at favouring the use of agromaterials in the construction of flats • Accompany construction sector towards sustainable development and « ecoconception » • Develop partnerships between the agriculture and the building construction industry • Communicate on the subject

INTERREGIONAL CO-OPERATION PROJECT: • Participation of partner(s) in the 16th « Fête de la Science » in Eure-et-Loir (October 2007) to present and expose agromaterial products used for the construction of buildings • Exchanges between partners on structuring the sector (production, transformation, use, market)

  19. Joint construction of a house which serves as a model using agromaterials, in Eure-et-Loir (2007-2008), located in Orgères-en Beauce (« Maison de la Beauce ») • Registration of partners within the framework of a european research program in the sector of agromaterials (7th PCRD, CIP…)
