  1. Features & use of bonded magnets A bonded magnet is one of the most important magnetic materials. It has opened the world of application possibilities. Thermo-plastic & thermo-elastomers resins can be blended with a variety of magnetic powders so that injection mold is formed 7 flexible magnets. The shape of the injection molded magnets is complex & these can be molded directly on to other components so hat assembly parts are produced. These magnets give higher magnetic output than injection molded magnets & are limited to simple geometries. These are available using neodymium iron boron, ferrite or blends of magnetic materials so that an extensive range of properties are achieved. Nylon 6 and 12 & polyamide are the binder types. The injection molding process is well suited to molding very intricate shapes & thin wall parts. These can be very simple or complex. These magnetic materials are inserted into injection molded directly inside or against existing components so that assembly pieces are produced. These magnets are conformed to mold cavities that are precisely machined & result in finished products; these don’t require further operations.
