Mathsercise-C. Percentages 2. Ready?. Here we go!. I spend 35% of £600. How much money have I got left?. Question 2. 3 x 10% + 5% = 35%. 10% of 600 = 60. So.. 5% of 600 = 30. And.. 35% of 600 = 210. Find 10% first!. Answer. Finally..600 – 210 = £390. 1. Percentages 2.

  2. I spend 35% of £600. How much money have I got left? Question 2 3 x 10% + 5% = 35% 10% of 600 = 60 So.. 5% of 600 = 30 And.. 35% of 600 = 210 Find 10% first! Answer Finally..600 – 210 = £390 1 Percentages 2

  3. There were 250 pupils in Year 10. 120 of these were girls. What is this as a percentage 120 250 Question 3 = 0.48 Now multiply by 100 to change it into percentage 0.48 x 100 = 48% Answer 2 Percentages 2

  4. In the MIF kitchen sale each kitchen is reduced by 20%. I paid £1200 for my kitchen units. What was their price before the sale? Question 4 £1200 represents 80% (100 – 20) of the original price £1200 ÷ 80 = £15 (1%) These are tricky questions! £15 x 100 = £1500 (100%) 3 £1500 Percentages 2 Answer
