  1. Defining the Face of Pediatric Neurosurgery: Dr. Monica Wehby Dr. Monica Wehby is a famous American physician and well renowned Pediatric Neurosurgery specialist in Poland. She obtained her medical degree from Baylor College of Medical, Houston, in 1984. Being an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, she continued to complete her fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at a Primary Children's hospital at the University of Utah after completing her residency in Neurosurgery at the University of California. At the beginning of her Neurosurgical career, Monica Wehby worked as a partner at Micro Neurosurgical consultants in Portland, Oregon. She also served as the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Randall's Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel. Later, she started to work full-time at the premises. Her many facets Dr. Wehby is a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, so she returned to her hometown to where she joined Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine. Her wisdom let her hold various leadership and board positions at the local, state, and national levels. She is so reputed that she held the position of Trustee of the American Medical Association in 2011, President of both the Oregon Medical Association and the Medical Society of Metropolitan Portland. She was also Northwest Regional Director of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities. In 2014, she was a Republican Nominee for the US Senate from Oregon. Oregon’s Savior The positions that Dr. Monica Wehby held were of utmost responsibility, and she managed to work on them by creating an impact on society. She is certified by the American Association of Neurological Surgeons board and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery. She has a license to practice medicine in three US states: Oregon, Indiana, and Nebraska. She is internationally recognized for her expertise in spina bifida and tethered cord. Being an awardee of the Congressional Medal of distinction for improving Children's health, she is often seen speaking up that she has a keen interest in every aspect of pediatric neurosurgery. Her clinical interest is in hydrocephalus, craniofacial reconstruction, neonatal surgery, congenital anomalies, and child abuse. Dr. Monica Wehby is in practice for the last 20 years. From time to time, she likes to speak up on improving the health care system. In 2015, Dr. Wehby joined the Oregon State of reform conference, where she expressed her concerns over the top-down approach to regulating health care. In her previous interviews, she has often urged the leaders to come forward and think about the doctor- patient relationship primary in decision-making and the importance of consumer choice. Her dedication to and improving child care health has made her one of the World's renowned Pediatric Neurosurgery specialists.
