5. Toxicity and LD50 What makes a product “non-toxic”, as determined by the EPA? When used in product testing, a product can be labeled ‘non-toxic’ if up to 49% of the test population die after exposure. Toxicity requires 50% or more test subjects to die from exposure. (*) The testing measures acute toxicity only (death within a determined time period) and does not take into account chronic toxicity (exposure at lower doses for an extended period of time) and serious toxic effects (ie brain damage) that do not result in death. (*) Lethal Dose, 50% (or LD50) is the median lethal dose of a toxic substance required to kill half the members of a tested population after a specified test duration.

Tips for Your Chaé Organics Party • Set the tone with a spa-like environment • Clear away clutter or unnecessary items. • Ensure you have adequate, comfortable seating. • If you choose to serve food and/or drinks, we recommend you steer clear of anything with any overwhelming aroma that would take away from the fragrances of the products, also anything that would become messy or sticky on the hands. • Fresh flowers strewn or in vases, soft lighting, have fun with it, it's your spa!
